Viking Cave (also called Tham Phaya Nak or Cave of the King) is located on the northeastern side of Phi Phi Leh Island. The cave is famous for its ancient wall paintings, believed to have been created by sea nomads (called Vikings by locals due to the style). The cave is also a harvesting site for edible bird nests, a prized delicacy. Visitors can view the cave from boats, but entry is usually restricted.
